Anything done out of the ordinary can mean a lot to your significant other; such as cleaning, vacuuming, doing the dishes, laundry or taking the kids out of the house to give the other parent some quiet time. Inexpensive gifts such as a candle, a note or card left conspicuously all add a touch of heartfelt emotion. A shell from the beach or a interestingly shaped stone from the creek can be an delightful present to the nature lover.

Another romantic gift would be to take your sweetheart out to lunch unexpectedly or make a phone call in the middle of the day simply to say “I love you.” Email and text messages are also convenient ways of romantic communication.
